Sarkis : Les vitraux de Sarkis aux Pêcheries

Marie-Hélène Desjardins, Uwe Fleckner & Nadège Sébille, 2018
"Sarkis experiments with stained glass by combining this ancient technique with photography. The artist creates stained-glass windows that take advantage of the light in a given place while breaking free from its architectural constraints, and these embrace works from past eras, objects of worship, portraits and landscapes, as well as images drawn from his personal memory. In the course of his exhibitions, Sarkis's stained-glass windows travel from one place to another, and at each new stage, these migrant images arrive in a new environment and tell their story(s) in an ever-new way...".
