The Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Amiens will organize a major exhibition of Valérie Favre's work in January 2003. Valérie Favre has been living in Berlin for four years. Lately, she has painted an exceptional series of paintings entitled Exercises in Flight. One finds there the dreamlike and symbolic universe of her work with a completely new pictorial force.
Before the big retrospective in Amiens, which will show a complete set of Valérie Favre's works for the last two years, we wanted to present, for one week, this set of recent paintings. This will allow all those who have been following Valérie Favre's work for years, as well as those who are new to her, to understand her new approach since the series of Interiors exhibited in 2000. Valérie Favre will also present a series of drawings entitled Du Jeu de la Lapine, preparatory drawings for a board game created by the artist.
