Marie Darrieussecq Anne Ferrer: Un Ptit tour chez les vivants

11 April - 10 May 2008 Cloître Saint-Merri I & II - Paris

Following the invitation of the Centre National des Arts Plastiques and the publishing aid, which resulted in the creation of a book in partnership between an artist and an author, entitled "Bibliophilie, Hors Commerce", with a print run of 35 copies, Anne Ferrer and Marie Darrieusecq wanted to continue this adventure by combining writing and drawing in an original creation, currently shown as a "unique piece" in the Nathalie Obadia gallery.

The watercolors enhanced with the text that inspired them unfold like an accordion around the walls of the gallery, revealing an exquisite corpse, a palimpsest of this collaboration.

Sometimes joyful or macabre, the free dialogue, disjointed or coherent between the two authors, shows that artistic thought and writing often meet accidentally or voluntarily, to provoke another reading, another sensory and cerebral space, between the two forms of expression, the pen and the drawing.
