Each year, the Foundation offers a program of temporary exhibitions that promotes dialogue between historical masterpieces and contemporary artistic research.
The 2026 exhibition program opens with La Tana del Matto (The Madman's Lair), a major solo exhibition by Belgian artist Joris Van de Moortel, on view from March 21 to August 23. The first two floors of the museum are transformed into a totally immersive installation, designed as a symbolic and mental "lair." Painting, sculpture, sound, light, and writing coexist, nourished by the history of Northern European art, mysticism, music, and madness understood as a form of knowledge. Visitors are invited to follow a non-linear path where the sacred and the profane, the past and the present, order and chaos constantly meet.
