Laure Prouvost, winner of the Turner Prize in 2013, takes over the Manufacture's exhibition hall and machine room with a monumental immersive installation featuring films, sculptures, tapestries - 15 meters long - and language.
Where are we? In a lush, abandoned garden? In the laboratory of a forgotten scientist? We verge on dystopia, get lost and cross boundaries, without forgetting to distinguish between weaving and tapestry.
The visit concludes with the projection of a video work by the artist entitled Into All That Is Here, which explores the notion of lust after periods of darkness. In her film, the artist continues to explore a story linked to her grandfather. She delves into her character's subconscious, into the depths of his fantasies, just as an insect or bird is attracted to the pollen of a flower, and when it finds itself there, the flower gives it pleasure...
